A new skill i would like to acquire - foosballing. Looks easy but it really needs good left hand-right eye-right hand-left eye coordination. a friend of mine hooked me up with it. and at one point it can be a real work out. i meant you can really sweat playing this game.
And as most games, foosball also connects to life.
1. when the ball stops between two players but neither player can reach it even if it spins 360 degrees: some things in life is just smack in front of your eyes but you just can't get it no matter how hard you try and how strong your desire is.
2. when the ball slowly makes it way to the opponent's goal you just can't stop it, no matter how hard you swing your players: unwanted things in life happens even if you try to avoid it or you think you are avoiding it by taking certain actions but it happens anyway.
3. aim the player at the ball before swinging it and that is hard because there are gaps between the players and as a beginner its just difficult to see to which player is the ball really going but i got the hang of it eventually: everyday is a new day. we might be an expert in something yesterday but today we are a beginner in another thing. learn and adapt. the environment around is forever changing so we must adapt. and everyday, a 'ball' is coming our way but we are not sure where and when. and mistakes happen as the 'ball' goes through the gaps we have. we can't cover the gaps but we can make the chances of the 'ball' going through the gaps slimmer.
