there is still some good in this world after all..

friday morning. 23rd february 2007. i sensed good aura around me signalling that God is helping me meet good people to help me find my way. i have never been to UMMC before and i had to go to collect some samples. well, we do have samples back in our place but it seems that it is so hard to find goodness on the same grounds.

anyway, i made my way to stesen University and my friend's voice echoed in my mind telling me to go left after coming down the stairs. as i went down, i asked a couple of strangers whether i was going on the right direction. they willingly helped and voluntered to even ring the bell of the bus when it reaches my destination. as i went on bus number 12, i was kinda surprised to see a smiling driver, as i usually see drivers with a tired and distressed look. on the bus, the conductor was a chinese lady. without asking, she pressed the bell for UMMC and showed me where to go down.

the bus stopped at the side of the hospital so i was wondering where the mian entrance was and another older lady walked pass me. i asked for her assistance and she gladfully walked mo to the lift. in the lift, i met a malay doctor who gave me good directions to go to the east wing, the place i was heading.

on the way back, i also bumped into a few good people who gave me directions and coincidently went on the same bus that i took earlier. the conductor was as helpful as before, without much questions.

although it just seems like a trip to their own backyard for some people, but to me it has made me realize that some sacrifices that we make in helping people before, will come back to us in small packages when you don't even realize that you need help in the first place.

that trip to the backyard full of strangers has also inspired me to continue studying and to always be there for our parents. a word or to that was given out by a stranger has made me feel that education, knowledge and familiy is an asset that no one can steal from you. and sacrificing a bit once in a while is good for the health. i didn't only get to collect smaples from UMMC, but i also managed to get a reminder of what are the important things in life.
